Historically, the international financial services industry in Seychelles owes its very existence to the private sector, where Sifsa has a leading and pro-active role. Sifsa was established in 2000 further to the initiative of a group of professionals engaged in the field of the provision of financial services as well as the management and administration of companies engaged in international business activities.
The ultimate aim of the Association is to promote international standards of providing financial services to international clients and to promote the requirements of global institutions such as OECD, World Bank, IMF etc.
The Sifsa purports to create a common and strong voice for the industry, for wherever it needs representation at regulatory bodies, governmental institutions, other associations in Seychelles and other jurisdictions, banks, media etc.
Promotion of Seychelles as a reputable, safe haven environment for businesses is another main objective, considering that our industry provides an extensive platform to international businesses via its double taxation agreements.
Another important role of our Association is education and support, through various courses, seminars, tools and other facilities we make available to our members.
